The roll at Parnell District School is to be managed in accordance with Section 11 of the Education Act 1989 to avoid overcrowding.

All children who reside in the stated school Home Zone will, as of right, be granted enrolment.

If places are available other enrolment applications will be processed in the following order of priority:

1. Siblings of children already enrolled at the school but who reside outside the school home zone,
2. Other pupils residing outside the home zone

Year 1- 8 In zone positions at PDS

Unfortunately the school has experienced a considerable number of enrolments where children have been enrolled in a short-term in zone address of convenience, from which the family moved shortly afterwards. The school now requires in-zone parents to sign a declaration stating a family’s intention to live in-zone for a minimum of 18 months. Enrolments may be annulled if the Board of Trustees determines that a family has used a temporary address for the purpose of gaining enrolment at the school. The declaration is available from the school office with the enrolment pack.
