Parnell offers a range of after school and lunch time activities such as homework club, ukulele, Chinese dance, gardening club and many more as well as lessons from specialist music and sports tutors.

Maori

Parnell school is fully dedicated to the integration of Te Reo and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.


Facilities

Parnell school contains many desirable features and facilities such as the large sports field, E-classrooms, modern library and good access to local amenities such as Parnell Baths, the Domain and  Parnell Cathedral.

Special Programs

Parnell offers gifted and talented classes as well as support programs in reading, writing and numeracy.  These programs are run by specialist teachers at a low student to teacher ratio

The Arts

Culture is a big part of life at Parnell.  Be it specialist dance or music lessons, visits to  arts and music centres or special guests from the world of the arts.  Parnell students get a diverse exposure to all things cultural!

Mandarin

Mandarin is taught weekly from year 3 to year 8.    Parnell was recently funded to run a 'Confucius Classroom'.  One of only 3 schools nationally to do so.

International

Parnell school welcomes international students and offers an ESOL support program for students from across the globe with all abilities of English language.
